My father loved the fruitcake. It was a blessing to see his face when he first smelt and tasted it. It was awesome, thank you.

I'm 78 years old so I have eaten a lot of fruit cake in my life.
The Monastery's Bourbon-Soaked Fruit Cake is the absolute best one ever! I highly recommend it to all.

You can taste the bourbon but it's in no way overwhelming. I can see why this recipe is a prize winner. I especially like the size of the loaf, perfect for a small household. Well done!

I was concerned about the possibility of dryness because of shipping but the cake was fresh and just the right amount of cake with fruit and bourbon. Delicious!!!
